Egg home insurance is offering a 10% discount off their highly competitive policy for Egg Credit Card owners.

Egg home insurance also offers accidental damage cover to home audio and video equipment, fixed glass, sanitary ware, service pipes and cables which is included under Egg's home insurance buildings policy, as is the cost of tracing damage to service pipes and cables up to £5,000 in any one claim.

With Egg home insurance's index-linked policy you are protected up to 10% of the sum insured from subsidence, ground heave and landslip.

Egg will pay for alternative accommodation if you have to move out of your home as a result of damage covered by their policy, up to 20% of the buildings sum insured for any one claim.

Optional extras to your Egg home insurance policy are:

Accidental Damage; insuring you for incidents such as putting your foot through the ceiling whilst in the loft.

Voluntary Excess; this allows you to increase the standard excess from £50, £100, or £300, which will reduce your premiums.

Your Egg home insurance contents policy will replace lost or damaged items ‘as new’, is index-linked with inflation, and covers accidental damage to home entertainment equipment is included along with unlimited frozen food, money and credit cards up to £500 in any one claim, and credit card liability up to £1000 in any one claim.

Garden furniture and lawn mowers when taken into the garden are covered up to £500 for any one claim. Public liability covers you for up to £2 million for any one claim or series of claims arising from any one event.

You can add further accidental damage cover to your contents policy, as well as ‘personal possessions’; for items taken outside of the boundaries of your home, pedal cycles, and family legal protection.
